Other Funding

Funding Sources & Useful Links

There are many useful sources, tools and comprehensive guides regarding funding for prospective students. Please review the following information for additional financial assistance that may be suitable to you.

International students should contact their own Education Ministry in addition to their local British Council or Consulate office for details of possible awards for study abroad that would apply to studying with LPMAM.

Further information for non-UK students about working within the UK as a means to finance yourself is available in the International Students page.

A useful tool, called ‘Funding Wizard’ is available to all potential students on the Help Musicians UK website. It is worth noting, however, that Help Musicians UK Young Artist Awards’ are now allocated after direct nomination from the student’s conservatoire (we do this via the bursary procedure).

Crowdfunding

Increasingly, Crowdfunding is being used by individuals to raise funds towards tuition fees. The concept is to set a target and recruit donors. This is a popular route for charity fund-raising, however it is being increasingly used for individuals self-financing themselves for a course of study. This option requires care and thought as to what the value is to your ‘crowd’ over time. However, in some situations Crowdfunding for Tuition Fee financing can be successful.
